Joe deAlteris - Principal

Joe is Principal and co-founder of Artemis Partners and is active in all day-to-day activities of the firm: responsible for strategic decision-making including sourcing, diligence, capital allocation, and ultimate acquisition. 

Prior to founding Artemis, Joe co-founded a family of Chicago-based investment vehicles where he was responsible for leading growth, development, and investment strategy. Over the last decade, he has been an avid investor: both participating in and leading investments into companies across a variety of industries and throughout the entirety of their lifecycles: from venture capital, to early stage, and eventual exit. Previously in his career, Joe was a deal professional at Sterling Partners, a Chicago-based private equity fund, where he focused on buyouts and investment opportunities within the business services and education services industries while also working closely with portfolio companies post-acquisition on value creation, governance, and business strategy. Joe began his career in the Industrials group of J.P. Morgan’s Investment Bank. Joe graduated with Honors from Indiana University with degrees in Finance and Business Economics & Public Policy.

Greg Hall - Principal

Greg is Principal and co-founder of Artemis Partners and leads all day-to-day activity including deal sourcing, diligence, and acquisition efforts.

​​Prior to founding Artemis, Greg was a Vice President at Lincoln International in Chicago, where he focused on leading and executing mergers and acquisitions for founder and private equity owned businesses. Before Lincoln, Greg was a Manager in PwC's Management Consulting practice, where for Fortune 100 clients he developed and implemented strategic plans to improve performance across operations, customer service, technology, and client staff. Greg is excited and energized to contribute these skillsets and experiences toward growing an acquired business.

Greg holds a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Michigan.

Outside of work, Greg enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife and three kids, being active, and supporting Chicago, Northwestern, Michigan and Liverpool FC teams.
